SUPER FINE ASH LIBERATION AT SUB 50 MICRONS
Vortex aeroacoustic technology for super fine ash liberation of drift theory Indian coal.
ARIA’s Vortex Aeroacoustics Technology uses controlled high-velocity vortex airflow and acoustic energy to induce particle-to-particle collisions, selectively liberating ultra-fine ash from coal without conventional grinding. This non-contact process preserves coal structure while freeing mineral impurities.
Ash liberation is especially critical for Indian coal, which typically contains finely interlocked mineral matter. By releasing these ultra-fine ash particles, the Vortex process significantly improves beneficiation efficiency, enabling higher-quality coal for energy and downstream chemical applications.
SUPER FINE FLUIDIZED BED BENEFICIATION
Density-based dry separation using air fluidisation and vibration to stratify superfine coal into distinct mineral layers without water.
In the ARIA Superfine Dry Fluidised Bed Beneficiation process, superfine liberated coal powder enters a vibrating rectangular tank where compressed air from the bottom fluidises the material. The combined effect of air fluidisation and vibration causes density stratification, forming layers of carbon, alumina, silica, and heavy mineral impurities.
As the material moves along an inclined discharge ramp, adjustable skimming plates selectively collect each layer into separate product streams for downstream processing.
CONVERTING INDIAN COAL TO IMPORTED COAL
Product ash of less than 7%, Reject ash of greater than 96%, Yield of 75% to 77%
The technology is essential for the Indian energy ecosystem. Cleaning domestic coal will reduce imports and help build a nation with limited external energy dependence.
DESIGNED IN INDIA FOR THE UNIQUE CHALLENGES OF INDIAN COAL.
ARIA’s technology is specifically engineered to handle the high ash content, complex mineral composition, and variable quality typical of Indian coal, enabling efficient beneficiation, mineral recovery, and energy conversion where conventional imported technologies often struggle.
- 100% dry coal processing – no water consumption in beneficiation
- No tailing ponds or slurry waste
- Zero risk of groundwater contamination
- Reduced land footprint compared to conventional coal washing plants
